the blue mormon butterfly
The blue mormon butterfly, papilio polymnestor, on an ixora flower. This is the second largest butterfly in India, after the Southern Birdwing. In India, they are mostly endemic to south India.
The blue mormons are frequenters to the Ixora flower species.

Abhilashae, rocksea is used just as a pseudonym for roxy. Yes sometimes i have to run behind or wait for these birds and butterflies, it is a long, strenuous task. All these photographs from kerala are taken during short vacations at home 🙂
