hey! nice blog! I actually thought that white person was a statue until I saw the next snap :p
hehe. yes, when we first came to italy, we also got confused with so many of these living statues! they stand still for hours like this…
wow! didn’t know that.
grazie elaine, birdy, sandeep, abhilash and andy for the comments 🙂
Wow they really do look like statues. Amazing art to be able to stand that still!
Good to see these artists.
The living man potraying statue made me remember Dileep in Kuberan…
haven’t seen that movie yet. does dileep play statue in it?
Yes he behaves like a statue and the one who is able to move him wins an amount…
each one of them tells a story … gr8 shots
Interesting captures. Love to see others countries customs and traditions.
they used to have alot of that when i lived in montreal, lots of talent on the streets and in subway stations!! don’t really see that where i live now, which is sad 🙁 love the solid white dude, i need makeup like that, to match my already pale skin tone haha… great pictures man!!

wow, the man in the last pic is doing some seriously good work!
yes, was amazed to see his crafts! his way for survival.
Nice writing. Street artists of Italy is a great feed for photography. I’ve never been to Italy but its one of my vacation destination. So should be there soon.
karthik, yes italy beholds a lot of history, amusement and culture to observe and relish. benvenuto (welcome)!
i loved the way how you documented the street life!
Wonder why we dont have these in India.. or do we? we do have singers performing on streets and recently they were shown on a reality show… how talented they r!
Here most of them, for a living, do some performances in whatever way they can. I guess in India many do it the easy way?
I have passed via Bologna in 2003 😀 On my way to attend an academic conference in Modena 😀 Managed to see only Venice but I loved it. Unfortunately that was pre digital camera era and I lost all my pictures somewhere 🙁
Could not explore Bologna at all. But many nice memories.
Hey Mridula, great to know you have been here!! Modena and Venice are close to us, just 1-1.30hrs from Bologna. Venice is different from rest of Italy and probably the best place to visit 🙂 Bologna is less of a tourist place, it is a university-city.
